In addition to a couple of neat tools that you can swap out for something else. On enemy intensive stages, this allows you to net easy kills by trapping enemies in your Uspecial's Beyblade mode. There's also very little to offer in stage control and endurance since Ranno's bubble can only cover so much of the stage at once and you can only spam poison darts for so long. He does have one strength though, in that he's got some of the best fundamentals in the game on top of mobility options when need be. If you we're around for that, you'll probably know why Ranno is where he is. The runes that we're bestowed upon Ranno are reminiscent of the runes of the base cast before the definitive upgrade. I'm sure that all the Ranno ' mains' out there aren't happy with me right now, but I'll humour you anyways. Forsburn's smoke clones actually draw aggro away from him, which achieves both stage control and reducing your overall damage taken.

This config takes full advantage of Forsburn's smoke clones to minimise the amount of smoke on your screen, while providing him with a niche. Forsburn does have a quirk contrary to my prior judgement.

The new rune G aims to remedy this, but for all the time you have the smoke out, it's a nuisance. Much of the game modes in the Abyss rely on visuals to let the player know what the heck is going on. The last of the three issues though isn't just at the fault of my brain processing power either. The main problem with Forsburn is that his stage control is mediocre, disjoints are underwhelming, and Forsburn's gimmick hinders visibility. He was able to carpet bomb entire levels by spreading smoke across the stage with charged Nspecial, consuming one layer of smoke and becoming fully charged right afterwards thanks to rune G, which consumes that smoke tile and simultaneously erupts all others because of another rune that no longer exists.

The Tier List was also missing, but it should be back now (It was back, but then my stupid self forgot to update it. Side note: Pomme's portrait was missing for idk how long. This was initially updated with Mollo, Hodan, Pomme, and Olympia the day after their release (February 3rd, 2022) with more tweaks and whatnot whenever I pop in. None of this effects a characters placement on the tier list What does is the direct power of a characters assigned runes and their default traits. Whereas other characters are more elaborate. Because of the way most Abyss runes work, you'll only ever need one or two for some characters anyway. They are only meant to give you a general idea of how each character should play. The rune configs I'm handing out are the ones I've had most success/consistency with. Basically, I know my crud, I've had a track record of being mostly right about my rankings, and I'm here again to update the tier list to welcome our new 4 Rivals from Workshop whether you're ready or not.
